The Saturday Evening Post issue of March 21, 1942, printed the first of a series of articles by newspaper reporter Carl W. McCardle titled "The Terrible-Tempered Dr. Barnes."
This audio clip contains the first part of Dr. Barnes' speech, describing what he felt were the errors and misconceptions about the articles. In the remaining part of the speech, Dr. Barnes seeks to clarify the educational activities of the Foundation. Excerpts from this latter portion of the speech are available in other sections of the audio archives on this CD-ROM.
